IDAIR VVIP Cabin

The project's objective was to showcase IDAIR's advanced Cabin Management System within the context of an actual luxury cabin environment. IDAIR's system architecture is celebrated for its flexibility, enabling seamless integration of various cabin interfaces, resulting in straightforward controls and an intuitive user experience. My role encompassed the presentation of the graphical user interface (GUI) across multiple devices integrated throughout a functioning luxury cabin.
To ensure versatility, the design was intentionally crafted to be generic, deliberately not mirroring any existing configurations in operation. Every element, from the design aesthetics to the floor plan and accommodations, was conceived from scratch. The designs I produced for this project gained notable recognition, being featured in the eighth edition of the International Yacht & Aviation Awards. This prestigious event, hosted by esteemed interior design magazine design et al and top yacht and aviation design publication Luxe et al, celebrates excellence in design on a global scale, solidifying the project's place among the best in the world.

The Process

This project was a delightful departure from my usual work, as it afforded me the rare opportunity to create an entire VIP cabin from the ground up. Designing every aspect of this VVIP cabin allowed me to envision what would be most desirable aboard an executive aircraft. It involved making crucial decisions regarding design style, color schemes, and the selection of materials for everything from the walls to the floors and the furniture.
This undertaking was marked by meticulous thought and planning, ensuring that the VVIP configuration met the highest standards of luxury and functionality.

Commencing with a standard outline of a business jet, I embarked on the creation of an aircraft interior configuration document, commonly known as a LOPA (Layout of Passenger Accommodations). This document provided a bird's-eye view of the passenger accommodations, serving as the blueprint for the project. Following several iterations and refinements, I finalized the version and proceeded to bring it to life in a 3D environment.
The process began with the meticulous design of the furniture, using one style as a template to populate the entire aircraft. To enhance realism, I incorporated various elements onto the tables, such as laptops and glasses, sourced from previous projects, seamlessly fitting into the environment.
The bedroom area was a particular focus, and I aimed to imbue it with the ambiance of a luxurious hotel suite. The resulting design exudes opulence and sophistication, capturing the essence of a lavish retreat. As you traverse through the aircraft, you'll encounter an array of carefully integrated amenities that enhance the overall experience.
The journey also involved exploring different color palettes, and after careful consideration, I opted for a lighter palette that resonated harmoniously with the project's upscale vision.
